Vienna, aka the city Japanese people go to when they visit Austria. Vienna is indeed quite famous amongst the Japanese most notable because of it being Mozart’s home city (but not his birth town which happens to be Salzburg). Anyways, Vienna is the capital city of Austria, which we needed to go to as we needed the Kosekitohon and a Marriage Eligibility Certificate from the Japanese embassy for the purpose of getting married.

As such, we decided to spend a few days in Vienna to take a look at the place. Cassandra obviously felt compelled to provide us a lot of great recommendations as well as to scold us about our choices in food. We visited St. Stephan’s Cathedral, the Hofburg, Belvedere Castle, Schönbrunn Palace, the Prater Park and my personal favourite: the National Library of Austria. Quite frankly, to me Vienna wasn’t so exciting because it is so similar to the place I grew up in. But then I remember how I felt like visiting Japan and this is exactly the feeling that Tatsui has when she visits places over here in Europe. And thus, I am still happy to do these trips, because I can do them with her.
